Bus Sales & Leasing, Inc. was established in
1974 with the mission to distribute and
service specialized transportation
equipment. National Bus Sales is a privately
owned company incorporated in the State of
Georgia in 1974. National is headquartered
in Marietta, Georgia. The Company’s function
is to sell various products it represents
into the market place.
The
products are generally specialized equipment
ordered specially to customer’s needs. These
products include: School Buses, Commercial
Buses, Bookmobiles, Bloodmobiles, Prison
Buses, Handicapped Buses, Shuttle Buses,
Church Buses, Childcare Buses,
Mobile Computer Laboratories, and Transit
Buses.
National
functions similar to a car dealership. It
represents manufacturers and resells their
products to the market place. The
manufacturers it represents are Goshen Buses, Starcraft Buses. Glaval Buses,
Champion Buses, Girardin Buses, Hometown Trolleys, Braun Wheelchair Lifts,
and various other manufacturers with items
supporting the main product line of buses.
National has areas of responsibility with
these manufacturers for the following
states: Georgia, North Carolina, South
Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana,
Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky,
Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kansas and Texas.
National
operates from a modern, 35,000 square foot
facility located on a seven-acre parcel of
land in Marietta, Georgia. It employs fifty
people performing such tasks as, General and
Administration, Sales, and Service.
Internally,
National has a staff of professionals
involved in different Marketing functions.
There are inside sales personnel for
securing orders from customers for parts to
be used on their buses. These are our
dedicated parts employees. They telemarket
and answer an 800 toll free telephone line
available from anywhere in the United States
with no cost to the customer calling. Other
personnel are involved in dissecting bid
specifications and then sending proposals
based on their findings. Service is
conducted on-site with shop technicians
performing maintenance and body shop duties.
Externally,
employees are located in other areas of the
Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southwest. These
salespeople routinely call on a customer
base that may wish to purchase the products
they sell. These customers include colleges,
hospitals, transit systems, churches, tour
operators, and school systems.
Company
procedures have been formed over the years
and are fair to all employees. The Company’s
Policy is basically the “Golden Rule,” “Do
unto others what you would have them do unto
you.” The Mission of the company is simple
and direct. An “Equal Employment
